With the development of technology, you can now indulge in online tax return. This facility can prove to be highly advantageous for those of you, who find it difficult task to indulge in running from post to pillar.
Tax return is a form on which details of your income and expenses are stated, and later on used to calculate the amount of tax that you are due to pay. The tax can be calculated by you as well by answering the suitable question on the tax return or even ask the HMRC to do so.
It is to be noted that not all taxpayers are obligatory to fill in tax returns. Tax returns are usually not given out to those taxpayers whom HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) believe are paying the acceptable amount of tax. This implicates that returns are as a result not customarily issued to people who have taxed salaries and pensions under Pay As You Earn (PAYE), given that the acceptable amount of tax is being subtracted at source.
Taxpayers who are usually issued tax returns by HMRC include:
• Earnings from self-employment
• Rental income from assets
• Additional income which is received gross, where tax has not already been deducted
• Complex tax affairs
